Throughout the development process, we have worked with Palisades Development to develop the vision and concept for a boutique hotel on a prominent site along Highway 29 in the Napa Valley that will bring a sophisticated new aesthetic to the valley’s hospitality offerings.

Knoll House
Napa Valley, CA
Set on a small, five-acre site just outside the Napa city limits, this 50-key hotel sits on one of very few commercial sites available in the Napa Valley.

We have envisioned the property as acollection of structures that surround a central arrival area, seamlessly integrated into the surrounding vineyards. Amenities will include a full spa, on-site restaurant and retail.

In a contemporary take on agrarian tradition, the structures are clean and spare. The single-story restaurant embraces its site on the valley floor with an attenuated roofline and a casual, indoor/outdoor arrangement of space. In the guest rooms, cross-laminated timber — which is beautiful, sustainable, structurally strong, and fire-resistant, — enables interior spaces that are quietly elegant, with unimpeded views of the surrounding vineyard rows for an immersive experience of the surrounding vineyards. Structural glass makes the transition between indoors and outdoors nearly transparent.
